Tuna Penne with Lemon Garlic Pangrattato

*Note: We used fresh sourdough breadcrumbs made with a high processor blender or food processor. Panko breadcrumbs can be used if unavailable.

Directions

  1. Bring a large saucepan of salted water to the boil.
  2. Add Barilla Pasta Penne and cook for 11 minutes or until just al-dente.
  3. Heat a frying pan over medium heat. Add oil, breadcrumbs and garlic and cook, stirring, for 5 minutes or until golden brown and toasted.
  4. Stir in lemon and herbs and season to taste with sea salt and freshly ground pepper. Set aside.
  5. Drain pasta and return to saucepan. Stir in Barilla Basilico Pasta Sauce and Sirena Tuna in Oil Italian Style.
  6. Season to taste and heat through.
  7. Spoon into serving bowls, sprinkle with pangrattato and serve.
